For Throwback Thursday and in honor of my partner Renald’s 60th birthday today, I’m re-posting an under-read and excellent piece that Sam wrote way back when we had hardly any followers: “Is Aging a Lifestyle Choice?” Enjoy! And happy birthday, Renald!

Love this blog and this post in particular. As a senior myself (qualified for a nice discount on an Asbury Patk beach badge on my birthday on Saturday), and a personal trainer, I advocate for movement with all of my clients at every age, and it’s great that I can be an example of how the body is like cement. If we stop moving it hardens up. Thanks for providing inspiring material every day! Polli
I like that phrasing….”a body like cement”.
