I’d already been feeling inspired by Diane’s list.

And then I saw that Gretchen Rubin is offering a 26 in 2026 worksheet. There’s even room for your 2026 Word of the Year.

So, I decided to give it a go.

Here are 26 things I want to do in 2026.

  1. Go on a 100 km bike ride. ☐
  2. Spend an afternoon at the beach. ☐
  3. Ice cream bike ride at the farm. ☐
  4. Big Island bike ride at the farm. ☐
  5. Go on a bike packing mini vacation. ☐
  6. Develop a morning mobility routine. ☐
  7. Read 20 novels. ☐
  8. Ride my bike 3000 km in 2026. ☐
  9. Work out 400 times, incl dog walks and physio. I’ll track workouts in this group and you can join too. ☐
  10. Go back country canoe camping. ☐
  11. Host a bloggers’ backyard BBQ. ☐
  12. Go sailing at least once! ☐
  13. Do at least one charity bike ride. ☐
  14. Spa day. ☐
  15. Go swimming in the Elora Quarry. ☐
  16. Take Cheddar on a hike in the Elora Gorge. ☐
  17. Have friends over more often and worry less about my house. #ScruffyHospitality ☐
  18. Learn to swim at least 6 lengths of the pool, without taking a break. ☐
  19. Visit at least one other Canadian province, besides Quebec. ☐
  20. Do another lazy river tubing trip, maybe when Catherine is visiting. ☐
  21. Ride 62 kms on my birthday with friends. ☐
  22. Dance! ☐
  23. Plan a couple of weekends away with my adult kids. ☐
  24. Go on a short trip with my mum and her little dogs. ☐
  25. Keep up my daily gratitude habit, #ThreeGoodThings. ☐
  26. Car camping with our new fancy car tent. ☐
