Time to celebrate later sunsets!

☀️ Today the sun will set at 4:44 pm. That’s pretty early in my SAD-affected books. But there’s some good news. It may be earlier than I like but it’s also the earliest the sun will set this year. Thank God. We made it. Phew!

☀️ Yes, the days will keep getting shorter but from here on in it’s extra morning minutes we’ll be missing. Fine. I pretty much wake up in the dark year round but it’s light by the time I bike to work. It’s the evening dark that I mind.

☀️ I’ve written about this before–of course I have–but each year I forget and I’m reminded by a friend who keeps a keener look out than I do. I feel like a weight has listed from my shoulders. Bring on the light!

  1. So cool, I didn’t know about the day only getting shorter at the top of the day, not the end of the day, at the end of the cycle. Is it the reverse when the light gets longer??
