I’ve been going knee physio for a very very long time.
It started back when physio alone was the answer to my knee woes. Then it was physio and various injections. After that came the era of physio and knee braces.
Then it was the era of physio as pre-hab for knee replacement surgery. Finally, it was all about physio and knee replacement surgery recovery. It’s been a very very long haul.

It started at Fowler Kennedy at Western. Then, it continued at the University of Guelph’s physio clinic. For the last three years, it has been at Defy Physio in Guelph. It feels like it’s been a team effort. My physiotherapists and I helped me put off surgery as long as possible. We also helped me prepare for surgery once that was no longer possible. Most recently, they helped me recover. Go Team!
And don’t worry. I’m still doing daily knee physio. I do squats, lunges, kneeling, and child’s pose. I am going to incorporate them into a regular morning/evening mobility workout. It’s one of my seven daily things–reading, writing, mobility, walking, connection, de-cluttering, and eating my veggies!
