What’s a way to be more creative today? #GroupBlogPost, #DailyWriting, #June

I’ve got several skirts in my closet that I haven’t worn in a while. I’m pulling them out to pair them up with newer tops and putting them in my summer rotation. It’s fun to create some fresh looks for the seasons, and even pair them up with jewelry. I mean, why not? It’s cheery and livens up the everyday.

I recently discovered that my favourite notebooks were getting hard to find (once one abandons Amazon, especially hard to find.) So when I found a Toronto source (DeSerres), I stocked up. But the new notebooks looked like they needed new coloured markers. I consulted the blog’s Christine for recommendations and I love the ones she recommended. So my plan for adding more creativity to my day involves adding colours and drawings to my various notes and lists.

Creativity is my operating system but one specific creative plan for Wednesday is to make a zine to illustrate my post for next week.

PS – I’ll be creating during the weekly ‘Studio Time’ session at the community arts association that I lead (as a volunteer.)

I have a ton of rhubarb and I’ll be combining several recipes to create a summer pudding. Each recipe has a factor — tender cake, tart-sweet syrup, creamy texture (yogourt or sour cream?) — I want to use in my final pudding. The biggest part of being creative is tossing the fear and making the leap. At least this will be delicious!

Craft time. Often it’s not particularly creative, but I love the meditative time that opens up when I do something with my hands.

Sometimes I have to be creative to keep my work safe from Milo.

I’m going to france. I’m being creative with my understanding of time and space.
