On this International Day of Persons with Disabilities I want to remind Doug Ford (he’s the premier of Ontario who just put through legislation which gives the provincial government the power to rip out existing bike lanes) that safe cycling is a disability rights issue.
Apparently, Bill 212 was also amended making it so people could no longer sue the government if they are hurt on roadways as a result of bike lanes being taken out.
