Go Team 2024: Pat Yourself on the Back

Hey Team,

I’ve been talking to a lot of people who feel kind of ‘meh’ right now so I thought it was a good time to give ourselves a little encouragement.

Maybe your fitness/wellness/well-being plans aren’t going exactly as you planned.

Maybe you are overwhelmed by AllOfTheThings.

Maybe you are stuck in the gap between what you meant to do and what you can actually do.

And that all sucks.

It really does.

I wish I could wave a magic wand and fix everything for all of us.

But, since that’s not possible, we’re left with two options:

1) We can be cranky with ourselves for not being able to do everything we hoped

OR

2) We can choose to be kind to ourselves, notice the things we *have* been able to do, and bust out a gold star for our efforts.

Which one do you think will help you forge ahead?*

You already know my answer, of course.

Here’s your gold star for your efforts, Team, no matter what you are working toward.

* By the way, being cranky for a while when things are difficult and when stuff isn’t going your way? That makes total sense. BUT if you are being cranky AT yourself and being mean to yourself about being human and falling short? That’s just an endless loop of misery and I want better things for you than that. 💚
