You are so much more than your step count

Thanks to Lyse who commented on my blog post about my injured knee.

“Injuries are frustrating, and, for me, a good reminder not to measure my worth in activity/physical accomplishment. ”

I can’t walk very much. I’m supposed to keep my walking to a minimum. This set back is a good opportunity to think about the value I place on physical activity. I love it but it’s not all that I am.

Right now on doctor’s orders I’m taking it easy. It’s hard to keep track of how much I’m walking, I thought. But then I realized I have the tools and the technology. I’m now using my Garmin to keep my step count down.

6000+ steps on my busted knee is too many. Let’s see if I can do better tomorrow.

  1. Important to how you feel while exercising…getting abit stronger each time. Rather than the count/metric.
