  1. I’m not sure that I enjoy good pain of athletic activity. Maybe a different way is simply for me, is being rewarded along the road of effort, which for a cyclist it is a REAL journey of travelling and seeing things along the way. Those are my motivators, not the good pain or sweat really.

    Time to think about the sensory experience of cycling..because that’s what keeps me on the bike for last few decades and seeing something different every few feet/metres along. Not all sports are like this…a literal journey, a literal trip. And so easy to parallel to a life journey –the physical hills, mountain and valleys.
